Dr. Xijun Shi started an assistant professor of civil engineering position with the Ingram School of Engineering at Texas State University in Fall, 2020.
About the new civil engineering program at Texas State University: The Ingram School of Engineering has developed a new undergraduate and graduate degree program in Civil Engineering which launched in fall 2019. The Civil Engineering program is one of the top priorities in the 5-year plans for the Ingram School, the College of Science & Engineering, and the University. The continued growth of the Ingram School is a critical aspect of the University’s mission to address the need for highly-skilled graduates in engineering fields. The program aligns closely with US Bureau of Labor Statistics projections and the Texas Workforce Commission “Target Occupations.” This program directly addresses the pending workforce needs of local, state, and multinational industry.
